We value the unique creativity that arises in the meeting between professional artists and curious children.

The purpose of our cultural centre is for children to have fun and immerse themselves in creative processes together with others, to develop their understanding of themselves as world citizens as well as to improve their self-esteem.

In Børnekulturhus Ama’r we believe in, and work for,children ́s rights to cultural exploration and creativity.

We offer

- Classes and workshops for children with artists (signing up for the class is required)

- Drop-in activities, infant-rhythmic and creative workshops on Saturdays

- Special performances, concerts, events, festivals etc.

- Cultural camps and festivals during school breaks

- During the summer holidays we build a temporary cultural centre at the beach (Amager Strand) with free activities for a month

Visiting the house

When you enter Børnekulturhus Ama’r you are met bycolors and shapes and funny angles – and no reception or information desk. Even though we have staff in the house, it is founded on ideas of shared owner shipand responsibility. We have a sitting area where you can buy a cup of coffee and bring your own snack. Adults are only allowed in company of children, and children must always be accompanied by an adult.
