A chess club that help improve social, mental and academic skills for children, youths and adults
The Danish Scholastic Chess Federation (DSCF) works to improve social, mental and academic skills for children, youths and adults. The method is playful, game based learning which works as an equalizer that reduces learning difficulties and develops mental capacity and appropriate behaviour in future generations. Internationally, DSCF has been involved in Syria, Ethiopia and Greenland among other places. At this event, the DSCF will attend with "the chess car" a checkered car on which you can actually play chess using magnetic pieces. We'd like to have a talk and perhaps a game with anyone who might be interested in learning more about using chess as a means to bridge cultural and linguistic differences.
